KUALA LUMPUR: Mahathir Mohamad, the 98-year-old former prime minister of Malaysia, has been brought to the hospital once more, according to his office, which verified media reports following the former premier’s absence from a court hearing on Tuesday, February 13. In recent years, the nonagenarian has been in and out of the hospital. He’s had bypass procedures and has a history of heart issues.
After Mahathir’s attorney informed the court that his client had been admitted to the National Heart Institute on January 26, the judge continued the hearing until July 19.
According to Ahmad Zahid’s attorney, the trial was supposed to start in October, but the judge turned that idea down and requested that earlier dates be set.
“To make room for this trial, we can dismiss other cases. According to Judicial Commissioner Gan Teaching, Tun Mahathir is most likely among the court’s oldest plaintiffs.
