SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong stated on Friday, February 16, during the presentation of the Budget statement, that Singapore must be ready to adapt and emerge more vital in a world that would grow more fragmented and uncertain in the years to come.
Implementing the Forward Singapore roadmap’s goals, which include expanding the economy, improving employment, expanding opportunities for equality and mobility, and bolstering security for elderly citizens and families, is another goal of Budget 2024.
A number of initiatives were unveiled, such as CPF adjustments to assist senior Singaporeans in increasing their retirement savings, payouts to assist households facing challenges related to the cost of living, and top-ups for SkillsFuture for those over 40.
