Technical glitches have hit Meta’s social media platforms, with Facebook, Instagram, and Threads experiencing significant outages. The issues, which emerged on Tuesday, have impacted a wide range of functionalities, leaving users frustrated and disconnected.
Login Troubles and Feed Refresh Failures
Among the reported problems are difficulties in logging back into Facebook accounts after being logged out and challenges in refreshing Instagram feeds. Some Instagram users have also found that stories and comments are not loading properly. Threads, a relatively new app from Meta, has been completely shut down, with users encountering error messages upon opening the app.
Meta’s Acknowledgment and Efforts to Resolve Issues
Despite the initial lack of communication, Meta has now acknowledged the issues through a tweet from spokesperson Andy Stone, who confirmed that the company is aware of the troubles users are facing and is working to resolve them. This acknowledgment comes as a relief to many users who are eagerly awaiting a return to normalcy on these platforms.
