SINGAPORE: By mid-year, around 37,000 chemists, administrative, ancillary, and support employees, as well as allied health professionals (AHPs), can anticipate pay increases. On Wednesday, January 29, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung stated that this “diverse group” is a “very important part of our system.”
We’ve talked about it with the union. During a doorstop interview at Outram Community Hospital on the first day of Chinese New Year, he stated, “We hope to finalise some details, and sometime in the middle of the year, we hope to implement for them. The Ministry of Health (MOH) stated on Wednesday that this pay rise will help the public healthcare industry better recruit and retain such employees.
The Ministry of Health “regularly reviews staff salaries in the public healthcare sector to ensure that the sector continues to offer strong career opportunities” , according to the news release.
It further stated that the most recent pay increase for AHPs, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, chemists, and administrative, ancillary, and support personnel, occurred in 2021.
