SINGAPORE: The F-15SG and A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) are just two of the many aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) on exhibit at the Singapore Airshow 2024, which runs from February 20 to 25.
The RSAF provided visual journalists with a behind-the-scenes peek into moving its aircraft from Changi Air Base (East) to Changi Exhibition Centre, the airshow venue, one week before the event.
When the all-clear was given at 9.30 p.m. on February 13, RSAF soldiers started fastening the fighter jets to the tow tractors. Three personnel, two on the ground and one in the cockpit operated each fighter jet.
After securing every jet, the A330 MRTT was dragged beside them as they exited the hangar. The convoy set off across the airbase at approximately 10 p.m., traveling at a stately 5 km/h towards the exposition center.
