SINGAPORE: Four technicians collaborated to pilfer 100 liters of petrol from a Police Coast Guard (PCG) patrol boat, despite being employed to maintain the craft.
On Wednesday, February 14, they were given a jail sentence and mandated to reimburse the value of the gasoline, which came to approximately S$183 (US$136).
The 31-year-old Muhammad Khairullah Abdullah was sentenced to five weeks in prison and told to pay S$101.65.
Muhammad Rizuan Leman, 34, and Muhammad Shahzwan Hissam, 33, were each given four weeks in jail and told to pay S$54.91.
32-year-old Alden Teo Chee Kiat was sentenced to three weeks in prison and had to pay S$45.76.
The four individuals from Singapore entered a guilty plea to one charge of collectively stealing the gasoline. For every one of them, save for Teo, there was an additional price.
